Senke's Specialty Service Inc

Edward H. Senke Specialty Services was started in 1974 by Edward Senke. Edward worked 20 years for William F. Cummins Co., another family owned business that had operated in DeWitt, NY, prior to going into business for himself. While with William F. Cummins Co. he installed and serviced garage doors and openers.

In 1976 David began working for the business, with his father. Dave had also been employed by the William F. Cummins Co. from 1966. In 1985 David and  his wife Katie began running Senke Specialty Services. Edward went on to retire around 1990.

Timothy, David and Katie's son, began working part-time in the business in 1990, while still attending high school. Tim began full-time in 1992 while attending LeMoyne College part-time, from which he graduated in 1997.

In 1998 Chris became part of our family owned business. Chris is Dave and Katie's son-in-law.

Tracy, Dave and Katie's daughter has also joined the business working in the office.

In 2004 Tom, Dave and Katie's youngest, became the last of the third generation of Senkes to join the family business. Tom no longer works on the road, but still serves as the web admin for senkes.com.

Our business is installing new garage doors and garage door openers, as well as servicing all parts of the doors and openers.

Some examples of services we provide are: replacing garage door springs, cables, and rollers; repairing garage door openers; general maintenance to both the garage door and opener. We also provide & install new garage doors and garage door openers. If it pertains to your garage door or garage door opener we can service it. We offer service on all makes and models.

Our main service areas are: most of Onondaga County and parts of Madison County.
