Our Services
Let us keep your garage door rolling
Broken Torsion Springs
When a springs breaks you may hear a loud bang. The garage door loses the counter balance assistance from the spring and may be too heavy to lift, even with a garage door opener.
Broken or Worn Extension Spring
If a spring gets worn out or broken it no longer assists in lifting the door. The door becomes very heavy and often can not be lifted, even with a garage door opener.
Broken Door Cable
Check your garage door cables periodically for rust or fraying. These are signs that the cable may break soon. A broken cable can cause the door to be difficult to lift. A broken cable may also cause the door to close crooked and partially open.
Garage Door Opener Gear/ Sprocket
Most garage doors have some type of gear/ sprocket assembly. When the white nylon gear wears out the motor will run but it will not move the door. If the metal sprocket wears the chain will be loose and the opener will not move the door.
Photoeye Safety Sensors
Photoeye safety sensors prevent the garage door from closing if an obstruction is detected. A beam is sent from one side to the other. If the beam/ signal is not received on the other side it will not allow you to close the door. The sensors can be very sensitive and can be obstructed by dust, cobwebs or leaves. They also must be lined up properly, if they are off even slightly they will not allow the door to close normally. You can override the sensors by holding the wall mounted control continually until it reaches the floor.
Remotes, Touchpad, Wall Controls
We carry accessories compatible with many garage door opener makes and models. We also carry batteries for remotes and touchpads. If you bring the accessory to our showroom we will change the battery for you.
Circuit Boards
Most garage door openers have internal circuit boards. Lightning strikes and other power surges can short out the circuit board. A bad board can cause many issues including remotes not working at all or not working properly, lights not functioning, or garage door opener not functioning at all. Like with all electronics a surge protector can help to minimize the risk of damage to the circuit board.
Garage Door Sections
Garage doors get hit more often than most people realize. The snow and ice is often to blame. Sometimes it's plow drivers or new drivers. Whatever the reason if the panels are still available from the manufacturer we can replace them.
Misc Parts
Garage doors and openers have many misc parts. We carry most parts to repair most issues. We also sell parts over the counter for those that would prefer to fix it themselves.
